The product is almost getting over. This is something which was supposed to be over almost one and a half year back. Or let's say 2 years back idea. I am being a little pessimistic may be, but we are at the later stage of idea lifespan. It would have been a dead idea if it's any more late. Anyway, so we now have lots of competition. It can't be a niche area. Looks like unless we bundle it with other functionality, it would be a difficult sale. We haven't figured out which other functionality we really should add. We can always build software for it but what is that thing which brings real value! Mobile, Web, higher accuracy and analytics are the few selling points for now. Can we add something else? For now, we surely haven't figured out the product market fit. We have few pointers on the directions but no strong views on it. First we want to crack the security and analytics space. Then, we can bet on the authenticated entry management for tech park...

Talking to you from our new office space. Just like all jugaads, this is not really an office space. It's an accommodation turned into office space. It is spacious, well lit, furnished, new and in premium locality. Mostly, I will be working from here for the next 3 months. I am confused now about the market potential for the idea. I see other companies doing the same thing. In the next 3 months, I will have to become an expert at computer vision and also build a business around it. Will try to read each and every paper in it. Will have to pace up my working style. It's just the energy that will move us forward. This should be a time for me to reinvent myself. We get such chances very rarely. Business wise, hopefully, we will find a pivot by the end of 2019. Meanwhile, we have to focus on the existing/ready products. Will have to hire a web developer and get some basic structures in place. And gather more number plate data and make it more generic.
Require sample Toll Data in testing automated toll collection solution

Hello, Greetings from AEye SoftLabs Private Limited. We are a startup working on Automated toll collection using computer vision (a specific field of Artificial Intelligence). It works on the principle of identifying vehicle by it's registration plate (ANPR). The solution we have built is able to identify vehicles better than any other existing solutions. In order to test our solution in real time, we are finding it difficult to get video footage of vehicles passing through a toll gate. We have approached multiple toll collection agencies (like NH44, Manoharabad Toll Plaza, Telangana) for old footage data but they asked for a permission from NHAI for the same. It would be great if we can get an approval from your side, allowing us to access video footage of a week from any toll booth.

This is around 20 days since I met you last. Some progress has happened. I am not alone now. Ashok and Srinivas anna are with me on this. There is little more clarity on taking things forward now. Best part is I am working on market research for now. It would have been almost impossible if I had to work on both product

So, this is almost after an year I am back! Lots of things have happened since then, but not much related to A.Eye! In the last few couple of weeks, I resumed working on A.Eye. Here are the developments. 1) There is a service by name OpenALPR, who has API for number plate detection. It's decently good. Our approach will be to start using this till we have in-house solution! 2) Srinivas Anna won't be fully part of this company. He is relocating to Microsoft US. That is hugely unfortunate for the company. It's kind of removing strong foundation of the company. Now, I will be required to learn things on do it on our own. 3) I have been doing some domain research in last few weeks and realised few things. 1) This is a pretty old field. As old as 1970 where it was used as a surveillance by the police. 2) It required huge setup to run ANPR. 3) There are multiple companies working in this field across different countries and also at home...

This will be a device with a display, connected to Wi-Fi, a basic Camera, a button to capture image. Once the button is pressed, image will be captured, sent to server. On the server it will be processed. And a number is generated from it. This entire thing will be happening in one API call. In the result of the API call, we will get the processed number which will be displayed on the screen. Once this is done, we just have to package all these hardware in a nice enclosure and make it look like a magic box. Only a button (Move this button to the display), camera and display will be visible.
